Basically that horrible case of #HelpLeeJungHee isn’t getting a lot of traction in Korea because there’s powerful people involved which sounds like a conspiracy theory but it’s true
Like, you all don’t know how terrible cults are, I honestly think that they’re a scourge on our society, I know why they popped up so much because after the wars and everything there’s a lot of trauma and people needed something to hold on to but they’re seriously scary and leech money out of vulnerable people like old people or people who have chronic illnesses and the amount of corruption like there’s this conservative Christian pastor who said “If I ask a female follower to take off her pants, I want to sleep with you and she does, she’s a true believer; if she doesn’t, she’s a little shit” like he isn’t even part of a cult so you can imagine how worse cults are and get this they have like super loyal followers because it’s like a cult of personality and small children are indoctrinated ever since they’re born and they’re only allowed to interact with people going to the same church and shit
So after the family wrote all these posts they got taken down. There was an article on this, it also got taken down. These people contacted a TV show that exposes crimes and social injustices and shit, they recorded everything, but then the episode got cancelled, they went to the police and the police were investigating and then suddenly they were like “welp we’re not interested anymore”
This is some very serious stuff and there’s a reason why the family has like, hidden their faces and so on in their videos because they’re scared that they’ll get killed honest I’m not joking
This isn’t a case of “oh Korea’s not doing anything” this is about corruption, cults, and the power they wield. Without solving that cases like this will just pop up again
Idk how to help them at all personally bc I can’t send money to them or anything but please help them get their story out and get attention
